Summer and autumn Festivals

Let There Be Night : It’s a festival of culture, art and music in mid-summer night. Visitors of Vilnius can get danse lessons, watch open air cinema, listen concerts in church and poetry reading, see exhibitions in museums and galleries or fashion shows. This cultural night gives for the city a lively and creative atmosphere.

Midsummer Day : On 23th June, an evening party with songs, folk dances and fortune-telling is organised in Verkiai Regional Park.

State Day : On 6 July, Lithuania celebrates the day of the coronation of the king Mindaugas, the founder of the state. On this day, knights can be seen and some concerts of ethnographical bands can be listening.

Autumn Equinox : This event on 22th September includes a carnival and concerts given by regional and ethnic minorities. A few sculptures are exhibited outdoors around Vilnius.

Vilnius Jazz : It’s the oldest festival of Vilnius. It attracts the best Lithuanian jazz performers and prominent jazzmen from other countries.

European Film Forum Scanorama : It’s the only European Film Forum of Baltic States. The programme is devoted to a wide audience of spectators of different social background and age.
